Despite overwhelming evidence that regular exercise combats obesity and decreases the chance of developing serious illness, more than half of adults in Wales could be risking their future health due of a lack of exercise
A new survey by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) reveals many people in Wales are ignoring basic health advice. 60% of those questioned said they were not getting enough exercise, and are therefore putting themselves at greater risk of life threatening illnesses.
The warning came as the CSP launched their national campaign, ‘Move for Health’ highlighting the importance of exercise in maintaining good health and preventing illness. To encourage people to be more physically active, the CSP has produced a free, downloadable ‘Easy Exercise Guide’ available here.
